I have always been interested in personality types and finding out what makes people 'tick'. It is so fascinating to think that God hardwired each one of us in our own unique way. I've taken many different tests and surveys over the years and enjoy seeing how my intuition usually lines up with the test results. For instance, I know that I do not like numbers, filling out forms, or having to follow a sequence of steps too closely. I'm all about the creative process and I prefer a broad framework within which to work.
This month's theme is 'Fulfillment'. In other words, what brings the most satisfaction. It is my belief that true fulfillment only comes from the Lord. Having said that, He made us in His own creative image and delights to see us finding pleasure in our daily lives. One of my favourite verses, Ecclesiastics 3: 11 - 13, says:
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God." (NIV)

This is such an appropriate follow-up to my earlier post, Tracy! Thank you for reinforcing my thoughts with your words and that wonderful verse from God's Word. I'm with you on the numbers thing, by the way.
Ha ha, Tracy. I'm the opposite - I like numbers and filling out forms - and I need that sense of scheduling and sequence of events or I'm hopelessly lost and I wander around all day! We are uniquely created, that's for sure. And I"m so glad God gifted you the way He did - I love your stories and your paintings. God is so wise!

I have always loved personality tests too. The first time I did the Myers Briggs, it changed my life because I began to understand myself - a cliché, but in my case, true.
I know what you mean, Tracy about being fascinated with the way we are hard wired. I am totally captivated wondering how God chooses to give gifts and talents to His creation. Thanks for this thoughtful post.
Hmm, I read your thought-provoking post some time ago, Tracy, but am surprised I somehow missed commenting. That said, I smiled when taking one of the profiling tests many years ago, suspecting how certain personality traits would emerge - and they did.
It's interesting and marvellous how God distributes natural and spiritual gifts to His children. Such motivational and spiritual gifts represent a responsibility - a sacred trust.
Your choice of verse from Ecclesiastes C3 also took on a greater significance to me several years ago.
Thank you for the prompt.~~+~~
